Gallery: Are You Sure It's A Date? How To Know If You're On One, And If You're NOT
Sigh. There are so many mixed signals these days. Take dating. Since we’re online, texting or talking to people all day long, when someone says “Let’s hang out” or “Let’s have dinner sometime”, it can be hard to know if they mean “Let’s go out as friends” or “I like you as more than just a friend.” It’s even more confusing if you have somewhat of a professional relationship with, and a secret attraction to, them too.
If you’re not careful, you can be in for some real embarrassment if you assume they are interested in seeing you when really, they just wanted company as they got a bite (or worse, they bring the person they actually are dating along with them or they try and set you up with someone else!).
That’s why there’s still something to be said for dating etiquette. It isn’t a 100 percent science (we’re not sure if it ever will be). But if you’re looking for some pretty clear signs that your date is actually a date, these should make the murky waters clearer.
