The disorder is characterized by polarized moods, one being highly elevated and manic, and the other being deeply depressive. The misconceptions around bipolar disorder leave those living with it to be stigmatized and wrongly judged. From dangerous, reckless, and "crazy" to over-emotional, people with bipolar disorder are characterized by words that more than often are hurtful and do not fairly describe them. We are here to break the stigma on bipolar disorder and to shed some truth to what it actually is and how it impacts the lives of those living with it!
