Not only did this cool cat play awesome music, he drove awesome cars.

This dude knew his stuff when it came to poetry and jazz music. It just so happens his style was also on point.

They come from a wide variety of styles and time periods, but all of the artwork on the walls at this museum is pretty beautiful. 

This item is pretty important because, 1) it's the item that kicked off the collection and, 2) it comes from a dark period in Ecuador when natives were trying to

escape slave traders in canoes.

This section of the museums packed with multimedia displays and statues of Olympians and other professional athletes who have made history in incredible ways.

Are those what I think they are? Yup, they're Ali's gloves! I wouldn't want to see them too up close (sweaty ancient gloves, I'm sure they smell GREAT) but they're

pretty awesome to check out with safety in front of your face. 

These amazing snapshots (for the ears) of praise from early America are very cool to hear firsthand.

There are a ton of costumes from the original production and they're all pretty zany in the best possible way. 

On a more serious note, the museum has some original copies of the Emancipation Proclamation, which freed slaves and set the US on a much more positive path.

The godfather of soul himself has some amazing items in the museum, and while his black sex jumpsuit (you read that right) is a must-see, his guitar is probably

more historically relevant.
