There are two causes for man boobs. One is a medical condition called Gynecomastia, which creates that ill-effect due to a hormonal imbalance. Basically your body is producing too much estrogen and not enough testosterone. This is usually caused either by a medication or if someone is suffering from a testicular tumor.

Your man boobs are probably caused by fatty tissue, therefore a combination of strength/muscle building plus burning calories in a high intensity set of exercises will put you on the path toward popping your shirt off with pride.
