Solange Breaks Down Why Failure Is Nothing To Be Ashamed Of & We Completely Agree

Once upon a time, when people heard the name “Solange Knowles," unless they were underground soul music fans, what immediately came to mind was her being superstar artist Beyonce’s little sister.

Boy, have times changed. When Solange literally took A Seat at the Table of the music industry with her three LP last fall, the project sky-rocketed to the charts and even earned her a Grammy this past February. Now she is hailed as a great artist, straight-forward activist and her style? Next to Rihanna, Solange is one of the best trendsetters out there!

What’s the key to her success? A recent article quoted Solange saying, “One of the things I'm most proud of about myself is my ability to fail in front of the world. You have to have that attitude when you want to experiment [in art, in music, in writing, or in fashion].” To us, it was a reminder that failure isn’t something to be embarrassed about or feel ashamed of. Failure is simply a part of the creative process.
