The only way to accomplish anything in life is if you make an attempt at it. And sometimes when you do, especially if it’s something you’ve never done before, you’re

going to fail. 

So what? Pat yourself on the back for even making the effort. You know what they say: “The only way to make a mistake is to never

do anything.” And to live your life like that? That’s the BIGGEST MISTAKE of all. 

No one can fault you for trying. And anyone who does? Tell them to kick

rocks. They probably don’t need to be in your personal intimate space anyway.

One of our favorite entrepreneur quotes comes from Max Levchin, the former CTO of PayPal. What he said was this: “The very first company I started failed with a

great bang. The second one failed a little bit less, but still failed. The third one, you know, proper failed, but it was kind of okay. I recovered quickly. Number

four almost didn’t fail. It still didn’t really feel great, but it did okay. Number five was PayPal.” 

Perspective is everything. While it may seem like he “failed a lot,"

he chose to see this another way. All of those risks taught him something that prepared him for the big win. 

Failure, if you’re close paying attention, is about learning things.

You grow when you learn. 

With failure comes disappointment. How do you handle being disappointed? Someone once said that “Disappointments can be openings” and that’s so true. There aren’t too many things that aren’t more

character-building than failure. 

If you’re able to dust yourself off, get back up and try again, thank failure. It grew you up and made you strong again.

Some people are afraid to fail because they are worried about what other people will think. But if you try enough things and fail enough times, you start to become

fairly numb to others’ opinions and perspectives. That’s a good thing? Yep. When you’re not afraid of what others have to say, you become fearless. In time, fearless people become

successful.

This is what we got from what Solange said in her interview. If you’ve followed her career, even a little bit, all kinds of things may have looked like “failures." By

her putting herself out there, she’s a major success; she’s living her life, her way on her terms. 

Failure helped to get her there. If you embrace it more, failure

will help to get you to where you want to be too!
