On the coasts, women are impressed by sports cars and luxury vehicles. In the south, it's all about the pickup truck. Whether it's a vintage model or the latest one

found at the car dealership, a pickup truck is how you pick up the ladies down yonder.

Southern gents are known for taking hunting trips several times a year. Some even make the trip every weekend. Of course, you can't go hunting without a hunting rifle, camo

clothes and other hunting supplies. 

Even though you'll find a church on almost every corner in the south, there's no shortage of alcohol available. One of the most popular drinks of choice is whiskey. You're

likely to find at least one bottle in a southern man's liquor cabinet.

With the wide range of available water spots in the south, fishing is a favorite pastime for many southern gentleman. Boys trips to the lake can't happen without a fishing

rod, and you can bet there'll be a tackle box to go with it.

Not every man in the south is a cowboy, but a true southern gentleman owns a pair (or several) of cowboy boots. These are usually paired with a tight fitting

pair of blue jeans, making every woman swoon.

The south has a large music scene, and southern men know that playing the guitar is a sure way to woo women. Even if he only knows how to dabble

on a few songs, a southern man will show off his guitar playing skills to anyone who will listen.

When you live in the bible belt, you are raised with a strong Christian upbringing. You look to the Word for guidance, and you attend Wednesday night bible study. It

might just collect dust on the shelf, but a southern gentleman still keeps the Word of God close by.

A style staple that every southern gentleman owns is a button down shirt. Solid colors get paired with trousers or khaki shorts, and plaid print gets worn with jeans. From

the country club to out in the country, southern men can't live without their button down shirts.

Obviously when you live in the country, you get exposed to country music. Southern men aren't afraid to belt out their favorite country tunes, and will often have them blasting

through the speakers in their pickup truck. Name a country music star, and a born and bred southern gent will know exactly who you're talking about.

Between fishing trips, camping adventures and tailgating parties, a southern man needs somewhere to keep his beer. He might pack along some BBQ pork to chow down on too, but

he won't travel anywhere with the boys unless ice cold beer is involved.
