So, you can’t stand your mother-in-law. Join the club. There are a ton of other wives (and wives-to-be) who can relate to where you’re coming from. For better or for worse, not being able to get along with your hubby’s mom tends to be the rule rather than the exception. In other words, it’s not super common to find a wife who is totally in love with her mother-in-law and/or vice versa.

Why is that? A part of the reason may be because of the man they have in common. They both love him dearly and have different ideas on how to show it. But, since marriage makes you and your mother-in-law family, while you don’t have to be besties, you do need to find some common ground.

Luckily, there are ways to make dealing with her more bearable. (Like drinking.) For your sake, her sake and especially your man’s sake.
