Gallery: Feed Your Vagina! Now That We Have Your Attention, Foods Good for Vaginal Health
A quick refresher course. In high school, you probably learned that what you see “down there” is not exactly your vagina. That is actually the labia majora and labia minora. Your vagina is the internal canal that leads up to and connects the uterus. The labia and vulva help to form the entrance into the vagina, then there’s the cervix and then there’s the uterus itself.
It’s important to know this because when we talk about things like “feeding the vagina”, we’re actually talking about how to provide the internal part of your reproductive system with the nutrients it needs so that it can stay healthy. It's also so that you can remain lubricated during sex, you won’t experience vaginal odor and, should you decide to get pregnant, conception will be easier.
Whew! Now that all of that is out of the way, here are some of the foods that will make caring for your own vagina so much easier to do.
