21 restaurants, 30 grocery stores, a hospital, a bank, a postal office, 6 private airplanes, libraries, 2 movie theaters, 21 churches, law firms, and a bus system. All Black owned

and operated. This was Black Wall Street until the envy and racism of White neighbors provoked one of America’s worst massacres. The 1921 Greenwood Massacre left over 3,000 Black Tulsa

residents dead and burnt over 600 businesses in the community. According to Ebony, with the aid of the government, planes dropped bombs on the thriving town. 

At the false accusation of a White woman claiming to be raped by a Black resident of the flourishing town of Rosewood, Florida, the Ku Klux Klan did what they

do best: savagely and inhumanely destroy in the name of white supremacy. According to the Daily Kos, before the 1923 massacre, Rosewood, a predominantly Black community, consisted of a school,

an oversized Masonic Hall, a baseball team (Rosewood Stars), 3 churches, a sugarcane mill and a turpentine mill. 

Yes, D.C., formerly known as Chocolate City is undergoing gentrification. What's gentrification you ask? Well, here’s a one definition: the process of renovation of deteriorated urban neighborhoods by means of

the influx of more affluent residents. Yep, it’s just what it sounds like, kick all the Black people out and let's raise the property taxes. In 2010, Black people were

no longer the majority in D.C. for the first time in years. And, according to the Washington Post, some historically Black neighborhoods have been completely taken over by white millennials.  

Flint still doesn’t have clean water. Flint’s city officials decided to switch the water source from the mainline in Detroit to the polluted Flint river. According to the Huffington

Post, a city official later blamed “Ni**ers who don't pay their bills” for increasing prices that provoked the move to the Flint river. Really?!!! So Flint residents brought that on themselves?!!!!

Harlem was the epitome of Black excellence. At the height of the Harlem Renaissance, Black jazz music, art, poetry, and acting took the world by storm. Most of today's modern

genres stem from those created by Black artists during this pivotal time. However, its decline was brought about by President Nixon's declaring a War On Drugs in the 1980’s. There

was really no war. In fact, drug use was on the decline at the time. Instead, his main focus was on creating an image, for the media, that discredited Blacks.

According to Zombie Meditations, Nixon's chief of staff confirms saying “The whole problem is really the Blacks.  The key is to devise a system that recognizes this while not

appearing to.”
