Gallery: Heinz May Offer A New Condiment Called 'Mayochup' And The Internet Is Outraged
Ketchup or mustard? Mustard or relish? Just relish? Just mayo? No condiments at all?
How about: mayochup.
The debate over the best way to accessorize your barbecue is a never-ending one — and for good reason! It depends, after all, on what you're eating, how it's been cooked, and, last but not least, what sides you're pairing it with.
Just in case the decision of how to dress up your hot dog or hamburger wasn't already difficult enough, a new contender has emerged on the scene, and it's here with a fire, a fury, and yes, even its own hashtag.
It all started on April 11 with a simple tweet from Heinz that offered a whole new take on the condiment game.
They broke it down for us with a simple graph. Ketchup + mayonnaise = mayochup.
From there, all hell broke loose on Twitter and Instagram. People loved it, people hated it, people were confused by it. Some people even seemed offended by it.
And thus, without further ado, I present to you: the great #Mayochup debate of 2018.
