The length of an engagement varies from one couple to the next. Some people will wait to finish school, complete military commitments or secure their careers. Sometimes, life happens. We must all be mindful that for a lot of brides, the wedding day is still the most important day of her life. She put in the time and commitment to secure her relationship and fully expects to walk down that aisle. It would be a really bad idea to even hint at criticism of a long courtship. Seriously.
