Most of us basically have a love/hate relationship with our period (probably more hate than love). We know that if our period comes on a regular basis, there’s limited clotting, the blood is bright red and we’re not comatose from the pain. Also we feel assured that our reproductive system is doing pretty well. That we love.
But realizing that every 28 days or so (give or take a few), like clockwork, we’re going to have cramps, cravings, bloating and yes, plenty of bleeding. Ugh. Sometimes it feels like if we’re not getting over our period, we’re preparing to have another one. (The joys of being a woman.)
