Gallery: 27-Year-Old Woman Posted ‘Note Before I Die’ Just One Day Before Passing Away From Cancer

Death is something everyone has to cope with during life. Whether you have to deal with the death of a loved one or your own mortality, it’s something we all must come to terms with.

Fortunately, most people don’t have to think about their own mortality until they get to be older, but some people have to face it at a younger age. Holly Butcher was one of those people.

At only 26 years old, Holly had to start thinking about her own death. She was diagnosed with cancer, so she decided to write a “Note before I die.”

Holly posted her “Note before I die” to Facebook on January 3, 2018. Less than 24 hours after posting her list of life lessons, Holly passed away surrounded by family.

Now, her message to friends and family is getting attention worldwide, and people everywhere have been moved by what Holly wrote. Her message reads:

A bit of life advice from Hol:
It’s a strange thing to realise and accept your mortality at 26 years young. It’s just one of those things you ignore. The days tick by and you just expect they will keep on coming; Until the unexpected happens. I always imagined myself growing old, wrinkled and grey- most likely caused by the beautiful family (lots of kiddies) I planned on building with the love of my life. I want that so bad it hurts.
