If you’ve read even a couple of self-help articles before, you’ve heard the phrase “toxic relationship." It’s a pretty common topic of conversation. But have you ever really sat and thought about what the word “toxic” actually means?

When something (or one) is toxic, that means it’s harmful and poisonous. The problem with toxic relationships is that they don’t come with the same obvious labels as say, toxic chemicals do. This means you have to dig a little deeper to see the signs.
