Sure, something you encounter in your day might inspire you. What really matters (if you're doing something creative) though, is how well you convey that inspiration in your work.  Wise words from one of the

one way to look at it might be to not strive for your fantasy or nightmare scenarios, but to deal with your real-life hardships.

to do you, and forget the haters. A timeless lesson. 

A very important lesson here from the guy who turned faces into puzzles. After not feeling it for a long time, inspiration might randomly hit! If you're not working your ass off until

that happens though, you just won't fully be able to taking advantage of that inspiration. That's applicable to anything from work to fitness.

Should you be taking advice from a guy who ended up cutting off his own ear? When it's this advice, you should. Even when tasks seem completely unmanageable, just break them

into smaller chunks and you'll find that all of a sudden, it doesn't seem so bad. 

If you're working at something for years and years, eventually you'll find that your teachers and people you used to look up to are now your peers. With more effort,

maybe you'll even be greater than they were.
