People who grew up with the gift of dance can two-step their way into a career as a choreographer. You can start by getting a job at a dance studio

teaching classes and build your resume from there.

While all you need is a high school diploma to apply to be a mail carrier, you do have to pass an actual exam. Hey, postal workers are in charge

of delivering some pretty important stuff. It's understandable that there would be a test involved.

Getting a degree from a fashion school is not only cheaper than a traditional college, but also more focused. However, you don't always have to go that path. You could

also start as an intern at a studio or playhouse and learn on the job while working your way up.

Art school is a thing, but that's usually for people who want to be art directors or teachers. Painters though? You can do that without a degree. Whether you want

to be a painter in the artist sense, or you want to paint houses — it's really easy to pick up a brush and get started if you've got a

knack for it.

Thanks to the likes of YouTube, many are learning imaginative ways to apply makeup. Getting a start on social media is just one of the many ways an aspiring makeup

artist can begin building a name for themselves, and eventually land jobs.

You can't just start selling homes. There is a basic class and a test to pass. Once you've done those, then you can start having those lovely open houses.

Being a police officer is a career that many women and men enter every day because it's not only an accessible job (because it basically only requires you to be

a high school grad before entering specialized training) but it's also a job that can last a lifetime.

If you don't want to be a police officer, but still want to help serve and protect, then you can become a firefighter. While you don't need a college degree,

you do need to attend the fire academy for all that training for what goes into doing such a hot job.

Many freelance writers begin by starting their own blog and growing their own business from there, branching out and writing for other sites. The best part, other than it not

requiring a degree, is that you can do it from the comfort of your own home!

It's not a job that will be enough to pay your rent, but it is a nice amount of extra cash. Each game can earn you as much as $50.

If you wind up loving umpiring those games, you can work on moving up to a college level which pays around $100 a game to start.

We've become a society that loves our technology. Which we wouldn't have without the wonderful brains who can do all that HTML and whatnot, better known as coding. Many don't

A good deal of chefs do attend culinary school but if we've learned anything from hours of binging "Chopped" it's that not every great cook has. Some just start from

bottom in the restaurant business and work their way up thanks to their natural kitchen skills.

In a world where you can get paid to play with puppies and kitties all day, why would you do anything else? For real, I think I may have to

switch gears because hello...puppies!

There are certificates to earn, flight lessons to take, and experience to gain when it comes to being a pilot. Not one of them has to do with shelling out

$40k+ for college tuition, though.

Those who have a need to always be on the go may want to take the time and invest in being a flight attendant. Once you pass the interview and

medical exam, you head into about two months of training and then you are good to go traveling the world.

The one thing more high school counselors and parents need to stress is the greatness of a vocational school. Instead of wasting time (and money) on general classes you'll never

need, like they make you do at a four-year university, going to a specialized vocational school means getting the right training for your career path. Seriously, no one needs art

history except those who want to do something with art. 

Anyways, electricians make major bank and all it takes is some vocational school training.

This is a trade that will never go out of style. It's also a skill you can pick up early on in life and turn into a full-fledged career.

Don't think it's that easy. There is literally a school that teaches people how to be a truck driver. Also, don't think it's only for weird older dudes either. Anyone

that loves life on the road would be a great fit for a career as a truck driver.

If you have a great driving record, complete training, and get that commercial license, then you're well on your way to being a bus driver.

Like with many transportation jobs, being a subway driver takes some training. Not a fancy degree, just real time spent learning the task.

To work in a shop you do need proof you've had some training but if you just want to do it as a side hustle you just need to showcase

you've got the skills to pay the bills.

This is not to be confused with a home care nurse. Nurses do need schooling, but an aide does not. An aide is someone who provides older folks or people

with disabilities with every day help like housekeeping or grocery shopping.

Social media has changed the way every business does things and let's face it, there are teens out there who could get a campaign trending faster than someone with a

doctorate. Learning to be social media savvy is a skill many can learn on their own but if you want to get a job utilizing said skills, you have to

go into an interview with actual proof that you are a whiz when it comes to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and any other site that pops up.

What does this even mean? A professional foodie means being a food blogger or vlogger. While some will go the traditional route and write food reviews for their local newspaper,

millennials have realized that you can make a living basically eating your way through life whether it's reviewing food or creating your own dishes and growing your brand via YouTube.

Living in a place like Los Angeles, it's easy to see that the music industry is all about getting your foot in any door and then making your way towards

what you want. Start as an intern at a venue learning the ropes of what it takes to be a talent booker for said venue. You don't necessarily need a

higher education, but rather street smarts and a know-how when it comes to spotting talent and negotiating.

Being a receptionist usually only requires one to have a high school education and a basic knowledge of office-like tasks. If you can keep up with technology, have a great

demeanor, and can smile when someone walks into the room...you're pretty much set. Who knows, you may just fall in love and have a total Jim and Pam thing of

your own.

Being a carpenter may sound like a job that has gone out like the VHS, but hello...people are always going to need things built. If you have a knack for

woodworking, you can use that natural talent to start your own business.

Owning a restaurant takes money and heart, but not a college education. If you have the means and know-how and want to get into the food business, you totally can.

Say you grew up playing a particular instrument and now know it well enough to teach others—then you can. You don't need to have a degree in music to take

on students as a freelance instructor.

One of the best jobs for people who are students and have yet to score a degree is a tutor. You can find tutoring positions both on your own and

via a college campus.

Being a seamstress is like being a mechanic. It's a job that requires a skill that one can and often learns on their own and masters over time.

How many of us babysat when we were still kids ourselves? Exactly. Being a nanny isn't something you can really learn in school. It's a career that's all about experience.

There is EMT training that takes anywhere from six months to a couple of years and an exam. It won't be easy but you are not required to have any

other education other than a high school diploma before you enter the EMT program.

Can we talk about the fact that elevator installers can make close to six-figures? Yeah, bet you didn't know those people were balling like that with just a high school

diploma.

The amount of work available out there for a photographer is pretty awesome. From taking promotional photos for bands to wedding photography, there is always going to be a need

for someone taking pictures. So it's important to grow that catalog when seeking out new clients.
