For people who live in big cities or progressive parts of the country, you may think that homophobia is almost gone. Gay marriage has been legalized, and more and more LGBTQ voices are being heard throughout the nation. But the struggle is not over. 

Many families still vilify homosexuality and kids trying to come out are susceptible to hate crimes and bullying.
