Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to remember Nicki Minaj's career, which was viciously murdered by Remy Ma in a gloriously scathing, 7-minute-long diss track called "shETHER."

But first, let's back up a bit: How did we get here?

According to HipHopDX, the two rappers have been exchanging blows for years. People think that Remy re-instigated things with last year's "Wait A Minute (Remix)." Though she didn't actually mention Miss Minaj by name, Nicki took it as shade and fired back this past weekend in "Make Love," her recent collab with Gucci Mane. 

"You see, silly rabbit, to be the queen of rap / You gotta sell records, you gotta get plaques," Nicki declares.

Then, Remy went for the jugular: Less than 48 hours after "Make Love" debuted, Remy stunned us with a haymaker. Rapping over the beat of Nas' iconic "Ether," which tore Jay-Z to pieces, Remy reads Nicki for filth over her alleged plastic surgery, ghostwriters, sex life, "Queen of Rap" status, and family.
