Sexual Assault Activist Brie Larson Refused To Applaud Casey Affleck When He Won An Oscar

At this Sunday's Oscars, Casey Affleck nabbed Best Actor for his performance in Manchester by the Sea — a controversial decision by the Academy given the disturbing accusations against him.

Back in 2010, two women who worked with Affleck on the set of the movie I'm Still Here filed separate cases against him. One of them — the movie's director of photography — claimed Affleck snuck into bed with her and started "caressing her back," as BuzzFeed reported. The other woman, a producer, alleged he tried to force her to stay in a hotel room with him overnight.

Though Affleck denied the accusations and later settled both cases out of court, people weren't exactly thrilled that he won an Oscar.
