Squash blossoms are sometimes called zucchini flowers, but they can come from a variety of summer and winter squashes. They are the edible flowers of the squash plant and grow in beautiful yellow and orange colors. Squash blossoms are soft, delicate, and they taste lightly of the squash itself. Squash plants blossom in late spring through early fall, and remember that when you pick the flower you lose the squash that would grow from that bloom, so grow LOTS of squash so you can enjoy them both.
