We've all heard of those people- the ones who never break out, get broken up with, or break a sweat. Part of us is happy for them. Part of us envies them.
Meanwhile you're at the gym, red-faced and dripping with sweat, as of, well, the moment you started hitting the spin bike HARD. Do you wish you were that girl without sweat-glands as you get off of your bike, drenched in the result of your efforts? We feel ya sister! But what if sweating a lot is actually a good thing? A 2014 study published in the PLOS Journal in 2014 states that distance runners who are more fit begin perspiring sooner than their more sedentary competitors. How can that be so? Fit people tend to begin sweating at a lower core body temperature, allowing them to take part in endurance exercises more successfully than those who only break a sweat later on. Sweating has other benefits, including clearing your skin as well as boosting your mood.
