When the two of you were dating, there was probably some compromises made on what you would do together. If you like to Salsa dance, one weekend you did that.

If he enjoys football, you would bundle up and check out a game with him. Now that you’re married, it can be easy to get stuck in the rut of dinner

and a movie or Netflix and chilling. A cool wife is going to want to break out of the box, surprise him and initiate things that he enjoys. Maybe mail

game tickets to his job. Or pick him up at work to go to check out his favorite local band. The key is to be proactive about doing things with

him that he’s excited about. It’ll put a smile on his face that you may not have seen in a long time.

When’s the last time you’ve sent him a flirty text? One that would make him blush? It’s not talked about as much as it should be, but men have a

soft side to them. They like to be flirted with, affirmed and told what makes them special. Send one out of the blue. Watch the kind of reaction you get

in return.

Being married doesn’t mean that you both are no longer individuals. Wanting to spend time with your friends doesn’t mean that you’re not in love or still totally into each

other either. Your hubby will think it’s so great of you to recommend that he take a weekend to hang out with the guys. For his birthday or Christmas, you might

even want to give him a cabin where he can go on a fella’s camping or fishing trip. Not a lot of wives would do that. Good girlfriends totally would,

though!

Something that a lot of older wives could learn from younger girlfriends is the importance of affirming their man. It’s nothing for college-age girls to post on their social media

about how awesome the think their boyfriend is. When’s the last time you said something positive about your man? In public

It doesn’t matter what age the guy is. Something that a man LOVES in a woman is a good sense of humor. Take him to a comedy show. Play a

prank out of the blue. Watch a funny movie at home with his favorite snacks already prepared. A woman who can laugh at life and herself is one who is

truly beautiful. And super appealing.

Girlfriends are good at being creative. Creative when it comes to dates. Creative when in comes to expressing their love. Creative when it comes to special occasions. Just because you know

each other like the back of your hands, don’t let that get you caught up in a ho-hum routine. Think of fun and unpredictable ways to enjoy your time together.
