If there’s one thing a boy band should have, it’s only one member who isn’t the greatest to look at. Unfortunately for Color Me Badd, it was all bad news

in that department. They could sing well enough to garner #1 song but the video? It wasn't the greatest. "I Wanna Sex You Up" is like watching a

home video of your creepy uncle. Despite that, we can't help but be in awe that these four dudes got a lot of ladies with this video. Because of that

you can go ahead and Color Me Impressed.

I believe it was on a commercial back when I was easily tricked by a cute boy with spiked hair that made me buy a Dream Street CD. Watching the

video now, I am ashamed as hell to have given these five guys any sort of cash flow, including Jesse McCartney. Cheesy to the core, "It Happens Everytime"

is a green screen mess BUT it also goes to show that when it came to the '90s, tweens and teens were weak when it came to a cute boy

singing and dancing. This video total proof of that.

When it boils down, "This I Promise You" is the worst of the best when it comes to *NSYNC videos. Their fashion choices are abysmal, the concept makes

zero sense, but Justin Timberlake singing just one note makes all of that melt away as your heart (and hormones) are like, "Wow, this is great, right?"

You know how when you look at your pictures from middle school, you grimace because you had ZERO clue how to be cool, but you thought you did? That is

Backstreet Boys in "We've Got It Goin On." The oversized sweaters during their dance routines. The leather. It was all so, so bad. Yet, so good. Not sure

how many times I watched this over and over on VHS in middle school. Wait, did I just date myself? YUP.

Walking around in all black with a dim overcast, Westlife seemed to set the tone for future Twilight movies with "My Love." Perhaps future fandoms need to thank

them for that.

One of the worst days for a boy band fan is the day their favorite says goodbye. This is why I'm thankful to be a Backstreet Boys fan. I can't

imagine being into *NSYNC and knowing JT would never succumb to another tour...because why would he? Anyways, "New Day" gets major props for showing that Take That isn't

quite done doing what they do. Boy bands can grow up and mature just like their fans.

Only in the '90s could a song like "MMMBop" make sense. It's also the only era where that video could fly. Two parts home video, one part tween

acid trip, it's random AF. They're using payphones, dancing with flowers, and Zac Hanson is rocking those braids white girls get when they vacation in the Bahamas. You have to

appreciate a hot mess when it's this perfect.

Can I just say that no other boy band holds a candle to Boyz II Men when it comes to vocals? They are a true gift to the world, but

"Water Runs Dry" makes us want to ask for a gift receipt. Boyz II Men usually were really great at presenting a beautiful story with their videos. This

one literally just relied on a desert to play into the whole "dry" aspect of the song. Play on words wasn't enough to make this their best but it definitely

wasn't their worst either.

Often times boy bands have to create illusions fans can imagine themselves in. With "We Fit Together" it was a boat party. Would I have rather it just

been me and Ashley Parker Angel? Yes. Too many girls for my liking, but still a scenario that could give way to FANtasies is why this video makes the list.

Nick Carter looked like perfection in "Quit Playing Games (With My Heart)." And just so you know, thinking a 16-year-old Nick Carter looked fine here is 100% okay

because at the time it was released, I was nine. Oh, you want another reason? Yeah, um, it is raining and the Backstreet Boys are soaked and singing about never

breaking MY heart. So that's reason enough.

Remember "We've Got It Goin On?" "I Want You Back" is *NSYNC's version. Labels don't want to throw too much at a new artist. So we don't get

too much with this clip except an introduction to one of our favorite reasons to watch Total Request Live growing up.

Was "What A Girl Wants" the inspiration behind "Carpool Karaoke?" We also need to point out that any video from that time that featured a Disney star is

going to win us over. Shout out to Kyla Pratt!

Speaking of guest stars, we have to show some love to Jennifer Love Hewitt. The main and only reason we even remember "Girl on TV." Yeah, before she

had the wondrous body John Mayer sang of, she was just the small screen beauty for this trio.

BBMak was like three (good looking) Ed Sheeran's in one. They could all sing like angels and had model good looks that clearly put us under a bit of a

spell with this haunting video for "The Ghost of You and Me," literally.

When MTV decided to make fun of the whole boy band craze with 2Gether, we bet they didn't expect them to gain actual fans. Well, they did and it was

all because of their movie and this hilarious first video "U + Me = Us (Calculus)."

The older man with the younger boy on horses at the beach was not what we expected from a boy band video. Nevertheless, we liked the progressive tone and the

overall setting Westlife presented with "If I Let You Go." It's clear these guys were more into locale than storyline though.

A beach performance? Check. Great dance routine? Check. High-speed chase? Check. What doesn't this video have? We're not sure but we'd like you to try and deny "Can

I Get Your Number."

You have my lovely friend Ashley to thank for "Got The Feelin'" even having a chance. White boys rapping in a car like they're cool is never not

hilarious but that's not the only reason this video is an amazing watch. Just wait until their very easy to learn dance routine at the end. Trust, if I could

learn after a few glasses of wine, you can too.

A routine you can not master after a wine night is "As Long as You Love Me." They are dancing with chairs, people! Freaking chairs. Name a more

iconic dance. Oh, Britney's "Stronger"? Puh-lease.

Sometimes all it takes for a great video is a group of men dressed like a gang of divorced dads singing their hearts out in random places. "End

of the Road" is just that.

I know GAP ads were all the rage in the late '90s so maybe that's why "Because of You" looks like one come to life. They are on

literal billboards and bus posters. So why is this cheesy video still so fantastic? Jeff Timmons is in a tank top on the beach.

A dramatic dance intro and Justin Timberlake seductively lying on a bed is what helps "Tearin' Up My Heart" stay out of the basic zone when it comes

to videos. Without those, this is just a weird photoshoot commercial.

Aw man, someone took away Westlife's travel bug with "Swear It Again." Instead of wandering aimlessly, they are in an auditorium. All by themselves. Not sure why, but

they are killing it with their odd band practice so that's all that matters.

Backstreet Boys weren't playing around when they released "The Call." They were going for major motion picture realness. The only thing that haltered this from being a blockbuster

though was Howie's hair!

A diehard Backstreet Boys fan, I once (or twice) got super mad at my BFF for liking *NSYNC and seeing them in concert. Then "(God Must Have Spent)

A Little More Time on You" came out and I was like, CRAP. How could I deny these angelic looking and sounding men? Ugh, this damn video. Always makes me

remember the day I had to give them a chance.

"Bump Bump Bump" is the only video on the list to feature hip-hop royalty. P. Diddy (at least that's what he was going by then) was a part

of what was definitely B2K's best and most credible song that has us all believing we could dance better than we really could.

Again, BSB wasn't messing around when it came to their videos during the height of their career. "Larger than Life" must've had an even larger budget. They were

in freaking space. Nick was a robot. It was all a bit much but at the same time, it was the turn of the millennium, so totally expected.

There is not a '90s boy band fan out there who cannot recall this video. All you have to say is, "the one in the bowling alley" and they'll know.

A cheap date night idea turned "When the Lights Go Out" into a memorable video—that's not easy to do.

There is something about handsome dudes singing and dancing in silk that just works. Why aren't there more videos like "All I Have to Give" out there?

Create the illusion for your fans. That's what it's all about and 98 Degrees hit it out the park with "I Do (Cherish You)." Vignettes of romance that

wind up with marriage, OMG YES. Can we all be honest for a second? How many of us wanted this as our wedding song when we heard it at 14-years-old?

While their first video was basically just a commercial for the movie, "The Hardest Part Of Breaking Up (Is Getting Back Your Stuff)" was finally allowing 2Gether to

do their own thing, and it was comical from start to finish. Making us laugh while incorporating Total Request Live elements makes this a total winner.

Are these guys as swoon-worthy as 98 Degrees? Not really. Not at all. They do get major props for looking like the nerdy guys in class who somehow got stuck

in chorus class and slayed it. For that, "I Swear" wins in our heart.

Look at those "awesome" special effects in "Liquid Dreams." While they are laughable now, that was high-freaking-tech back in the day. Those dancing liquid Alex Mack like figures

wowed us then, and will always be ingrained in our minds.

While some boy bands have decided to hang it up, Backstreet Boys have continued to amaze. Not only with their music, but with their wine-like appearances. "In a

World Like This" is far from the days where they'd spend millions on videos. It's simple yet lets us all know that they still got it. No really, all five

of them could hit it.

We absolutely love the vibrant AF energy that came along with "Pop." JC's awesome mane aside, this video was constant energy that still gets us going today.

When it comes to boy bands we can't always use the #BlackGirlMagic, so I'm taking full advantage here. "On Bended Knee" not only had Living Single's Kim Fields

but the one and only Lisa Turtle. Yeah, she has a real name but Lisa Turtle is who we know her as. Amazing guests and that intense rain scene make

this video one hell of a watch.

The Ed Sheeran trio strikes again! We have a lot of dancing on this list. A lot. So anytime a boy band can toss in some instrumentation we're going to

shove them in your face like the unicorn they are. Just like we're doing with "Back Here."

You just saw BBMak perform in a subway in "Back Here" and now we have Hanson with "Weird." What makes this video better than the last? We love

and appreciate the message this one has. Wait, what? Yes, boy bands can most definitely have thought-provoking videos...when they aren't singing about love, love, and well, love.

Anyone else think this is still too hot for TV to watch? Bell Biv DeVoe were bad boys for sure, and “Poison” showcased that through and through. Naughty

every step of the way, this PG-13 ride had us feeling like we were watching late night HBO back in the day...and now!

Chris Kirkpatrick never looks good. Never has. Never will. In "Thinking of You (I Drive Myself Crazy)" he was still the only weak link as the other four

were stunning. See, what did I tell you about hot guys in silk? It works, honey. Every time.

"Summer Girls" was likely made with a budget of five dollars. The extras likely wore their own clothes. All of that aside, this video is summer. Well, summer

1999. It instantly takes you back to a summer vacation you can't believe you wish you had when you were a hormonal preteen in junior high.

How many back-2-school items do I own that feature stills from "I'll Never Break Your Heart?" Way too many, my friends. While they sit in a storage shed

in my mom's backyard, the video sits high on our list because that tunnel scene when AJ sings, "Baby...baby..." can impregnate women. Fact.

Teeny boppers cannot forget their boy band ancestors. Take That's "Back for Good" is to the UK what BSB's "I Want it That Way" is to the US.

The video is just as wonderful to them as well. Rain. Rain is always a key factor to make sure boys look 25% hotter when they sing.

O-Town proved they could have fun on a boat and dance with Alex Mack, but could they bring it on stage? Yes. "All or Nothing" was all about

them in their element. A concert in front of the fans. Real fans by the way because one of my pals is somewhere in there screaming and singing her heart

out.

In the early '00s, *NSYNC released dolls. In order to sell them, they were all about making their videos entertaining infomercials. Gotta respect that hustle. An inventive video to push

some merch, we also have to love "It's Gonna Be Me" for providing us with the best meme to use in May.

As much as the video is cool with the homage to classic horror monsters, it's the dance that makes  "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)" rise above and beyond many of

these other videos. Ask anyone who was alive in the late '90s to do the "Backstreet's Back" dance and 9 times out of 10 they can.

To be honest, there are parts of these lyrics I still don't know, but the video for "The Hardest Thing?" Memorized. Why? Nick Lachey was shirtless, boxing and

beautiful. Finally, they let him free from those damn J. Crew sweaters and let us see the goods.

Dirty Dancing and Boyz II Men are the reasons I learned what sex was too early in life. "I'll Make Love To You" does present a sort of

soft-core porn vibe at the beginning but then smoothes out into one of the most romantic clips to date.

"Bye, Bye, Bye" will forever be *NSYNC's signature tune. Mostly because it had a really awesome dance move that many could (try to) execute. Also, it was just

a fun, exciting video that had more than just dancing and singing. It had way more action than we were used to getting from *NSYNC at the time.

"I Want It That Way" perfectly sums up what it means to be a boy band. The song and video up until the end make absolutely no sense.

It's just five guys looking good performing; what a boy band is at the core. Then the end has that scene where the fans go wild and it's the icing

on the cake. Boy bands would be NOTHING without their fans doing the absolute most for songs and videos that sometimes make no sense, going nuts and screaming with glitter

signs. Without those fans, I'm not sure this video would've made it this far but for showcasing fangirls in their true element, it's numero uno!
