The talk. Every parent comes to a point in their child’s life when they ask themselves “Is it time to talk to them about sex?” As far as when that should be, you kinda have to go with your gut. 

What’s a given is once your son or daughter is a pre-teen, some discussions MUST be had. But is it healthy for a dad to talk to his daughter or a mom to talk to her son? A woman by the name of Gail Masondo once said “Fathers mentor their sons and nurture their daughters. Mothers mentor their daughters and nurture their sons.” Agreed. But there are reasons why kids have a mom and a dad. One is that both can provide a perspective that the other cannot. The topic of sex is no exception.

So, should moms talk to their sons about sex? DEFINITELY. It would be a shame for her not to.
