We all have that one successful family member who has to constantly remind us how much more they are doing than everybody else. Think Lynn Whitfield in just about every

single role she’s ever played in. Yeah… This family member usually shows up in the form of an “aunty,” but uncles, cousins, and spouses can be guilty of this, too.

Yes, they may be “doing well for themselves,” but their attitude has them failing at life. We all know that they overcompensate for their unhappiness through things, but we love

them anyway (shrugs).

Who the hell are you?! Are you here for a plate? What is your name?! Somebody tell us something because WE DON’T REMEMBER YOU!

Yes, unc, we know that you’re a beast on the grill. We also know that you are proud as hell that Aunty Pam got you a smoker for Father’s Day.

But for the love of God we need you to remember that baking and good old-fashioned stove top cooking is also an option. It’s okay ...put the tongs down!

Some family members just can't control their liquor and this is one of them. Uncle Ray can’t just have a few drinks ...he’s drinking till he can't stand straight. One

hour into the party and he's cussing people out about things that happened way back in the 70s. But he does know how to party...

This is the person who has gone off to college and is naturally smart. They're bettering themselves while continuing to remain humble. They can come off as a “know-it-all” with

their fun facts and corrections of the day, but they mean well. The knowledge just seeps out of them, no pretension here.

We can’t figure out if they’re on drugs or just broke. Either way, they're always asking you for money. You can tell them that you just paid your son’s college

tuition and they will still manage to hit you up for cash. In fact, that’s the only time you hear from them. Just damn.

This family member is just an introvert. They will speak when spoken to, but unless you start a conversation with them, you will forget they’re there ...unless you go to

the living room. That’s where you’ll find them watching reruns of Love & Hip Hop.

This person has no idea why they volunteered to host the family function, despite doing so for the last five years. They’re so busy running around like a chicken with

its head cut off that they can’t even enjoy themselves. They put up a plate in the microwave for later, only to discover that someone took it home. They’re always

pissed but guess what? We will all be back at their crib next year.
