By the time October 31 rolls around, we're in one of two moods:

  1. Put on some cat ears and draw some whiskers on our cheeks and call it a day, or 
  2. Order a badass costume and a matching wig for at least a couple hundred dollars and spend every waking moment trying to think of the perfect caption for when we post a picture of it on Instagram.
