You know what makes every house better? Putting it in a tree.

OK, it's probably slightly more complicated than that, but true story, in recent years treehouses have become an industry of their own, with a number of enthusiasts building permanent residences in the sky. One grandma fought to remain living in hers.

Being close to nature is great, but building a fully-operational tree home is probably out of most of our budgets as the fanciest of these can cost upwards of $350,000.
