Breast augmentations aren’t going anywhere any time soon. It continues to be one of the most popular cosmetic surgery procedures, up 37 percent since 2000. So if you’ve been thinking about getting one, there’s certainly nothing to be ashamed about. You probably know someone who’s had one (even if you don’t realize it).

But before you go in for a consultation, there are a few things to think about first. One, you’re beautiful just like you are. Don’t roll your eyes, it’s true! Two, if you’re thinking about doing it because your breasts are not as firm as you’d like, you might want to build the pecs under them or go in for a breast lift. Third, if you’re still like “Yeah, whatever. I want some bigger ones”, read all of this first. You need to know all that you’re (potentially) getting yourself into. Financially and otherwise.
