Well, turns out Miss Granger SCAMMED us.

As Marie Claire pointed, out, they didn't use CGI — much less actual magic — to get those books up there. They literally had

people put on green-screen gloves and reach out from behind the shelves. 

They literally look like neon versions of Thing from The Addams Family.

We're salty, to say the least — and so is the Harry Potter subreddit.

"Stop trying to make me believe it wasn't real magic," one person wrote.

"Godd*mn, now every time

I'll see this I'll see how she's just waiting for someone to grab the book...thanks internet," said another.

But user Slytherin4Lyfe had a good point: "If a bunch of random green hands

took the books from me i'd still consider it magic." 

We'd have to agree.
