Something that we love about logging onto the internet every day is that amidst all of the celebrity gossip, political drama and bad news, there’s at least one story we’ll see that makes us sigh, swoon and remember that there is still a lot of love, and romance, in the world.

In walks Benjamin Anthony Hewins, one of our current romance heroes who hails from London, England. And just why does he move us? It’s because for Christmas, he built his wife, Zyleen her very own seven-foot calendar complete with surprise doors and treats inside of each of them (including shoes).

The heart, creativity and devotion put into this unique gift is a reminder that romance doesn’t always or necessarily require finances. Getting a wonderful gift for Christmas is about knowing the object of your affection and wanting to make them smile.
