Olivia A. Cole is the author of "A Conspiracy Of Stars."

In May 2017 she took to Twitter, where she has more than 28,000 followers, to recount a house-hunting story

that's nothing short of creepy — though, admittedly, hilarious.

Her tale gained a lot of traction online and was retweeted over 20,000 times.

Right off the bat, things were looking... weird.

Olivia says her husband was the first one to notice a strange grate in the house that looked alarmingly like "the bars to a dungeon."

The agent, however, was quick

to assure them that the grate was just the return vent for the AC.

The kitchen had its fair share of red flags — namely, scratches on the window.

Next stop: master bedroom, upstairs.

Just in case the hidden door by itself wasn't creepy enough, Olivia's husband decided to open it.

Do you have chills yet? Because I do — and it gets creepier.

Next stop: the basement.

Is it just me, or is everything about this already just too creepy? Three padlocks? No key?!

Olivia's agent said she thought the door led to the backyard, which, incidentally,

was the next stop on this increasingly disturbing house tour.

At first, it seemed like the backyard would present a refreshingly normal part of the home, replete with rosebushes and a firepit — until Olivia's husband pointed out the chilling detail

she had missed.

If this were me, I would be on red alert. Or 10 stages past red alert.

It goes without saying that Olivia and her husband did not — of course — ending up putting an offer on the home.
