This is the video you never knew you desperately needed. 

British actor Tom Hardy has two young kids, so he probably appreciates a good bedtime story. In fact, he and his pup, Woody, recently appeared on a BBC children's program to read one called You Must Bring A Hat — and it is PEAK cuteness. 

One minor complaint: We would've picked out a bedtime story more along the lines of Fifty Shades of Grey, but hey — we'll take what we can get. It doesn't get more adorable than this:
