Gallery: Trump Gets Gangster, Threatens James Comey On Twitter And The Nation's Reaction Is Priceless

Can someone please take away his f**king phone? Or at least change his Twitter password?

Donald Trump just tweeted a very obvious threat to former FBI Director James Comey, whom he fired only a few days ago.

Alright, background first: Comey was the head of the FBI last year when they were investigating Hillary Clinton’s emails. At that time, Trump publicly praised the director – as he should, considering that scandal almost certainly vaulted him to victory in the election.

Trump is (or was) being investigated for his nefarious ties to Russia by the same man. So Trump, thinking he’s still on The Apprentice, he fired Comey. That move has been met with universal backlash and tons of criticism, so of course the President has given a litany of reasons and excuses for the move.

The biggest reason for Comey’s dismissal, according to Trump, was that his peers in the FBI had lost faith in him. Which is completely false. Every report coming from FBI sources say that Comey was extremely popular. Trump was even planning to visit the J. Edgar Hoover Building (FBI headquarters), but cancelled those plans because he found out everyone there – many of whom voted for him – disapproved of the move.

Of course, Trump does have one 'fan' who backed firing Comey: Rosie O’Donnell. Our President was up late on night, looking through tweets from last year – you can’t make this up – and discovered that back during the Clinton email scandal, Rosie tweeted that Comey should be fired. So obviously that’s relevant to a completely different scandal several months later, and Trump responded:

All of this is to say, the Comey situation is a disaster. Like D.L. Hughley just said on The Daily Show, Trump basically fired the cop who was trying to give him a ticket. And in the midst of all that backlash, Trump is trying to cover his ass.

So the President of the United States of America tweeted a thinly-veiled threat to the man he just fired, telling him to keep his mouth shut:

Does it bother anyone else that he uses exclamation marks so often?

With this tweet, Trump is implying that he has incriminating evidence against Comey. Which is problematic for several reasons: what should these two have ever been talking about that’s illegal? Why was Trump taping it? Why, for God’s sake, is he tweeting about it?
