Everything that's happening in our bodies can tell us something about our health, including the color of our periods. Yup, that’s right. Most of us probably don’t even notice the little change in the hue of our flow from month to month unless it’s extremely different than the last, but we all need to start paying more attention. Anything other than that typical shade of red could be a sign of something else going on with our health, from problems with our hormone levels, to STDs, to whether or not we may experience a miscarriage.

Growing up in a double wide trailer in the middle of a California desert, Kendra used her smarts to go to college. Only she didn't realize that adulthood was the next stop after graduation.
