a guy's hand, let alone wonder what he looked like naked.

There were no rules! Texting games, high expectations, misinterpretations - none of that happened with your first love. Probably because social media wasn't as popular back then. Dating wasn’t complicated, it

was just two people hanging out and enjoying each other’s company.

When you were younger, dating didn’t feel like something you had to do. The only reason you and your first love got together was because you liked one another. It

wasn’t because you felt forced to find someone - you weren’t even looking.

Relationships, no matter who they are with, shouldn’t feel forced. Your first love taught you that liking someone really is easy. Drama doesn’t have to be a part of every

single relationship you have.  

You were loved. Not because of the clothes you wore or the makeup you applied. You didn’t even care about those things back then. Personality was all that was important. He loved you

because of who you were. And you loved him for the exact same reason. 

You know what it’s like to have a crush, you’ve had a ton of those. But being in love is very different. The first guy you loved taught you the

difference between the two. He showed you what it feels like to truly be in love. 

Your first love was probably your first major heartbreak. And guess what? You survived! At first, you might’ve felt empty and alone. But time heals all and you got to

see that first hand. Broken hearts hurt, but they also mend. 

Your first love might not have been your last love. And that’s okay. Your relationship ended but that doesn’t mean it was a waste. He taught you about yourself and

he showed you what it feels like to be loved. Every relationship, no matter how messy or dramatic, teaches you something. Don’t ever forget that.
