Sure you were the one who actually had the baby. You deserve a standing ovation, a free vacation and the biggest trophy on the planet just for that alone! Pushing an entire human being out of a small hole is impressive. Very.

But unless you had a mirror pointed down to see all that was going on down there, you have no idea what your husband experienced. He’s the one who saw the head crown. Beautiful but overwhelming as hell. Not to mention seeing all sorts of bodily fluids, doctors tugging and, if need be, surgical tools and needles (if there was a little ripping, or cutting that happened down there).

It’s enough to make even the strongest fella super intimidated!

Yes, you’re his warrior woman. You birthed his baby! But that doesn’t mean that the process of labor and delivery didn’t totally freak him out, nor does it mean that he may not be a little apprehensive about intimacy. Not because he’s no longer attractive. Just because he’s a little…confused might be a good word. Confused about how everything is supposed to go back to normal after witnessing so many, you know. Changes.

You deserve to resume your sex life. So does he. Sometimes it’s a process.

Don’t be mad if your man is freaking a bit. Show him the way back. Here’s how.
