It feels like The Simpsons has been on television for centuries, and honestly that isn’t far from the truth. The animated series holds the record as the longest running scripted primetime show of all time and shows no signs of stopping its iconic couch gags and Halloween specials anytime soon.
If you’re a millennial or a Gen Z’er, you probably don’t remember life without Homer, Bart, Lisa, Marge, and Maggie Simpson, not to mention Moe, Barney, Mr. Skinner, and the hundreds of supporting characters who have lived in or passed through Springfield over the past three decades. There are books and actual college courses devoted to America’s favorite family, and with every episode there are new references and jokes to add your already extensive knowledge of the show.
Not counting the 29 future seasons that we’re obviously getting, it’s time to put your Simpsons knowledge to the test to see how much you actually know about the little yellow family that could. Will you pass with flying colors and be named employee of the month at the power plant and given a free ride on the monorail, or will you be held back and forced to write lines on the chalkboard for all of eternity?
